a friend had an anterior/posterior lumbar fusion about a 1.6 yrs ago. she is still having complications and pain with her back and right leg. shes pregnant and doesn’t know if it’s good or bad?
I good friend of mine died from a pulmonary embolism. He had back surgery, encountered some complications about a week later, and was re-admitted to the hospital. The next day he died of a PE. He had been on his back for a few weeks and was overweight.
I was severely constipated, I am chronically constipated and the doctor took an xray last week and I go for a follow up next week. Anyway yesterday the pain got too bad and I tried several types of laxatives. About 1:00 am I finally was relieved of my condition and made several trips the bathroom.
Now I am in severe pain in my lower back just above the buttocks area and the pain is on both sides. Pain laying down, more pain if I try to get up, pain while sitting up.
It is a constant strain sharp pain that hurts more when I move and it is only in the lower back area.
Yesterday it was my back and stomach that hurt, now after being relieved it is just the back.
Anyone ever experience this trouble and what worked for you to first get out of pain?
What did you do to prevent from being chronically constipated to get to this point?
I have tried increasing fiber, water, and exercise with little results.
I have hip and back pain after giving birth. Occurs mostly when I sit to feed my baby, but then also other times when I am doing usual activity.
The Dr. said it is normal due to pregnancy for a couple months after but mine started only a couple months after.
He also said that the back pain could be around the area of the spinal. The hip pain is th most bothersome… I’m too young to have all thse aches and pains! What can I do to combat them?
I’m going to get my tonsils removed because of frequent tonsil stones. I’m 17 years old, and in an honors program in college so I can’t afford to take time off!
Is it realistic to go back to school a few days after getting them removed?
I’m talking 100%? After how long? Then why have the surgery? And what happens to the skin’s appearance if you had plastic surgery to get rid of excess skin AFTER the bariatric surgery once you gain this weight back??
I just got back from hospital after having brain surgery, I have no idea how to get back to my normal now. Yes, it still hurts like hell but I want nothing more than to get back to my normal life. I am only 14 and I really really need to go back to school and get back to being normal. I have my exams in a few years and life to get on with.
Has anyone else ever been through the same thing, or perhaps something similar like going back to work or something.

I am due to have a torn meniscus repaired in my knee soon and was wondering how is recovery time and when should I be able to go back to work for light duty? I work at a desk now.
I had my bottom wisdom tooth extracted on Friday and last night till mid-day the pain seemed to have gone but now it seems to have cone back…I already been to the Dentist 2 times to avoid any chance of a dry socket so is this normal? the pain seems like the whole jaw is hurting and another tooth at the top, more like a referred pain but xrays even show nothing wrong with the top teeth/tooth so is this normal?.
Thanks.
