Sunday, February 21st, 2010My husband was in the army 4 years ago. In 2001 the army paid for his back surgery due to herniated discs. The surgery didnt make him better, in fact his conditioned worsened because the army docs took out the discs, but did not replace them with anything causing bone on bone friction. He got a medical discharge in 2002. 20% disabled with honorable discharge, then in 2004 VA paid for him to have another back surgery, The dr put titanium in place of the bad discs and also screws. He is nearly 100% better. He wants to go back in. The recruiter mentioned him signing a waiver, but we are worried that when he goes to MEPS they will turn him away, even though he voluntarily got out the first time.
I’m just wondering if anyone here has rejoined after having back surgery???
