stress can cause amazing things to happen to our bodies and major surgery is one of those stresses. depending on the kit you are using, are you using it correctly. Go to doctor and have a proper blood test done if you are really concerned or anxious. At this stage if you are pregnant it is not going to matter if you find out now or at 4-6 weeks unless of course it affects to mental health.

major surgeries like that definitely do effect a womens menstrual cycle. coming from experience, in a different view. i had major back surgery when i was 10. and physically looked like a little girl. well 2 days later, while in the hospital. i got my period. and the doctors said it was because of my surgeries. so you shouldnt really worry about being pregnant. well, i hope this helps.

Stress can cause your cycle to be late or to miss a period all together. I read somewhere the most common cause of a missed period is pregnancy and the 2nd most common reason is stress. Back surgery is a major stressor so I would say stress is your reason.
