		<description>I had a C-5,6 fusion in 2002 and still have some stiffness and pain, but it isn&#039;t as bad as before surgery.  Do your stretching exercises the way your physical therapist directs and the pain will at least be bearable.  You need to strengthen your back muscles to help support the lumbar region.</description>
