You have to get clearance from his doctor in writing.

well i have brain surgery n my surgeon told me that i can do anything after 6 months from the surgery. So I’ve still been able to play football. so i’m pretty sure it’ll depend on the persons condition after the surgery

I am a brain tumor survivor and I can tell you that no one is able to return to that level of activity after brain surgery. The brain is still healing and will continue to do so for at least the next 6-8 months if not longer.
This isn’t like having a broken leg, it heals and off you go. This is the central part of your body for which we all depend on.
Check with the doctor to find out what the restrictions are (and there will be some) and when normal activity can be resumed. No coach worth their weight will accept anyone back without full written clearance from the attending physician.
