How Long Will It Take Me To Get Back To Work After Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery?

It is my right shoulder. It is Impingment Surgery. I drive a semi truck for a living.. which means shifting and turning the wheel constantly. Thanks for the help.

    Orthroscopic procedures are invasive and will cause a lot of pain at first and will require rehabilitation of the limb for its functions to come back. After the procedure you will be sent for physical therapy twice or 3 times a week for 4 to 6 weeks. If you are a fast healer and you attend the therapy sessions and you have a good therapist, then you can resume your job in as fast as 3 weeks. But it’s best to wait for 4 to 6 weeks before resuming full activity.

    i had shoulder surgery april 18 and i am still in a little bit of pain. i was in a sling for 6 weeks then the doc said i can do everthing but play sports. i still have pain doing little think. i had muscles pulled and a mew shoulder muscle created so yeah if that help.

    I work in a post-surgical unit and it usually takes about 6-8 weeks, barring any unforeseen problems. your surgeon should tell you at your next checkup.
