How Soon Can I Go Back To Work After Bunion Surgery?

I’m 25 years old and I’m getting bunions removed off both of my feet. My doctor said that I should fully recover after 4 weeks but I’d be able to go back to work after 2 weeks providing I wear these special orthopedic shoes (no cane or crutches required). He is doing the type of surgery where the pins will be inside the toe, not outside. Has anyone had this surgery? How long was it until you went back to work and did it hurt to walk at that point?
