Maverick Artificial Disc Fda Approval?

The Central texas spine institute (http://www.spine-ctsi.com/Maverick.htm) states that the clinical trial for the Maverick (& similar A-Mav) artificial disc replacement device has ended. How can I find out more on the status of the FDA’s approval? The FDA website does not mention the device, and clinicaltrials.gov does not provide any type of status information.

  1. Chas Says:

You can go on the fda.gov site and inquire into the status of the process. But most of the FDA approvals take a long time. The Central Texas Spine Institute site would be probably your only way to track the progress of the approval process.
Here is a site you may be able to find out something but it won’t be on the approval. Good luckhttp://clinicaltrials.ucla.edu/
here is another site you may find interestinghttp://spine-health.com
