My very first Tension Headache. Help!?

Hello! Here is an interesting back pain question with some good answers.

So my EX PCP diagnosed me with a sinus infection. Went for a second opinion at an eyes ears nose and throat doctor and ruled out a sinus infection and said Ive been suffering from headaches. I went to a new pcp and he stated that Im experiencing Tension Headaches (due to stress of layoffs etc) Are tension heaches normal and am I going to die lol Ive NEVER had heaches like this before. Please help me and calm me down because Im freaking out over this.

Very interesting. Sometimes questions can be helpful, and sometimes they create even more questions. This one created more.

Have a good day!

    It would have been a help if they had told you what was causing that headache, along with any other headache you may ever get, tight neck muscles. Those muscles go to the top of your head and when they are tight at the top they pull on other muscles to give you pains in your head, your headache. The reason the sinuses are involved at all is that your neck muscles are so tight they are restricting everything going in and out of your head, When the wastes back up they end up entering your sinuses to make them a part of the problem. To get rid of the pains you have to free u the muscles in your neck and here’s how to do that:
    Neck
    Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
    For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

    Stress causes the body to misbehave, and in particular tenses up the muscles in the shoulder/neck area, it will also release chemicals into the bloodstream and increase blood pressure. This will give you a headache. Before you go down the tablet cures, try mint oil or Forehead massaged gently on the forehead and temples and breath slowly and deeply to control your heart rate. Spot the signs of tension and nip the headache in the bud by sitting comfortably with arms supported and breathing softly after applying mint oil{wash hands well as it stings delicate parts}
