My daughter has the same problem. She has tried all sorts of things (fiber, etc.), but to no avail. She went to an herbalist and they mixed up some herbs for her. They seem to be the only thing that will help her. Evidently she has a very sluggish colon, though she had a colostomy and they said she was fine. Just keep trying by drinking a large glass of water when you first get up and as much as you can through the day. Fresh fruits and raw veggies, too. Cut back on the amount of sugar that you consume because I've heard that it can cause constipation, too. You probably irritated your colon by the laxatives. Try to eat something soft that won't keep it irritated. Exercise helps, too. If nothing else, try to walk at least 30 minutes a day. Otherwise, good luck.
