sharp pain in abdomen?

How is it going? I was walking through the mall today and I thought of a good back pain question. Well, here it is. I think you will find it helpful.
for the past three months i have gotten this sharp stabbing pain in my abdomen, i feel nauseous but i don’t get sick, it will last for about a week, and sometime the pain is so excruciating that i have to double over. It hurts worse when i’m done eating, and before i need to go to the bathroom. The first time i got it, i did get sick and it wasn’t that bad afterword, and i had diarrhea, the other times no vomiting and no diarrhea, at that time i thought it was food poisoning, but now i’m thinking it wasn’t
I am take luflonomide, and that is one of the symptoms, but i actually decided to stop taking it for about month and half to see if that was it and i still got the pain. I have been on and off this drug and it’s never bothered me before. I looked up the symptoms and pancreatitis came up, but the only symptom is the stabbing pain, i don’t have any of the other symptoms it listed.
I don’t have health insurance so i really don’t want to go to the doctor, any suggestions on what it might be. Don’t think it could be GERD cuz i don’t have heart burn or anything like that.
the pain is right in the middle of my abdomen, and i feel fine otherwise no fever and i go about my regular activities, its just an annoying bother.
What a great back pain question. Please visit us frequently for more questions and great answers.
Have a great day!

It depends on if it’s the lower or upper abdomen, but I know someone (a girl) who was in what sounds like the same situation as yours. It actually lasted for about a week at a time, and it would come back every few months for a couple years. It was so sharp that the days when she had the pain, she couldn’t do anything. It got progressively worse, so one day she went to the ER and it turned out she had an ovarian cyst. They aren’t really bad or serious or anything, but it just gets annoying because it hurts. She ended up having to get surgery. If this is the case, then i would make sense that it hurts when you are done eating or need to go to the bathroom because it is most likely putting pressure on it. Even though you don’t have health insurance, I would try to go to the doctor, because it could be something really minuscule, or something that is really important and needs to be fixed before it’s too late!
Don’t know if you did this, but I would try it:

Good luck and i’m interested to know what it is if you ever find out so please get back to me.

Short Term Medical Plans
This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you’re no longer covered under your parents’ medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you’re employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you’ve found a new job, but your new employer’s group health insurance plan won’t kick in until you’ve been with months.
