Twisting your back to pop it and Scoliosis…?
Howdy! Here is a great back pain question for your perusal.
I twist my upper body to the left and right in order to pop my back. Sometimes use the wall to bend back a little while sitting.
When I was younger, I had minor scoliosis. I was told it went away though. I never had x-rays since I was dignosised a long time ago (prolly 10+ years ago or around there and the angles were like 8 and 10 or something and I’m 18 years old now) Could it come back or if it is still there, make it worse if I keep cracking my back like I do?
That was just the back pain question I was looking for. Great answers, too. With any luck, it was the one you were searching for, as well.
Have a good day!

DON’T POP YOUR SPINE/NECK/LOWER BACK!!!!!!
I started young and no body at school ever caught on to my back problems. I have NO curve in my spine!! And I popped by back lots, especially in jr high. I would bend my upper back backwards pushing against the desk until it popped. I popped everything I could think of. I was stupid.
Now I am disabled, have almost constant pain, my muscles don’t know where they are supposed to be, so they spasm and I have to get botox injections into the muscles in my upper back/neck. My hands have some arthritis because I’ve been rubbing my back and neck since 1979.
It’s NOT worth whatever you get out of popping any part of your body. And un attractive……….I had to train myself not to pop knuckles in public.
Go and get a full series of x-rays on your whole back, top to bottom, side to side, or a CT or MRI. My pain didn’t start full blast until around 1983.
God bless
