What Is A Good Prescription Med For Back Pain?
I currently have flexeril and it does not work for my back pain at all. What is a good medication to switch to?
Thanks!

Flexeril is a muscle relaxing agent. So if it’s not working then the problem likely isn’t muscle spasm.
If you’re just looking for pain relief then you generally can’t beat Vicodin. But more importantly you need to find out why you have back pain and should do whatever you can to get healthy. Depending on the exact nature of your problem corticosteroids may be appropriate as well, prednisone for instance.
Feel better.

Flexeril is a muscle relaxant.
As for a “pain”med, it all depends how severe the pain is. I have been on Lortab for years for back pain and it worked well until recently. I am now using Percocet. I guess my body just got used to the Lortab.
Really, it will depend on what your doctor wants to give you.
I hope this helped a little. I hope you get some relief soon.
Have you ever considered going to a chiropractor? I have been seeing one for years. They have really help me. Massage therapy is great too.
