What Is A Good Way To Relieve Back Pain In Late Pregnancy?

I am 8 months pregnant with severe back pain. My doc has put me on bed rest because of my edema and it feels as though the longer I sit or lay the worse my back hurts. What can I do? I feel as though I am in a no win situation.

Well you have probably figured out that there really just ain’t no way to get rid of all that back pain, but I am now 35 weeks and have found a way to relieve it for myself. I used to lay on my stomach and for me these last few months hav ebeen torture because I have not been able to do that, then I got in the habit of lying on my back even though I know your really not supposed to but that was about the only way I could sleep. But now I get two or three pillows and lay on my stomach over the top of them. I look like a little frog. But when I do I lay my chest on the pillows and my butt in the air or I feel like it is. I keep my legs under me sorta like I am squating. Oh and a good back rub is always nice but not always offered. Hope to be of help

Heating pad with a moist rag inside of it… you will be surprised how well it works!
