I'm currently suffering from the flu as well. Just a question- do you have a fever? My throat's been very sore and my back's been hurting too, but the back pain is being caused by the fever. The sore throat is a symptom of the flu, as well as headache, muscle pain, tiredness, or nausea. If you're experiencing any of these other symptoms, I think it would be safe to say you've got the flu. I would opt not to take Tamiflu, as it usually only shortens the life of the illness by about a day or so, and some of its side effects are rather nasty: vomiting, dizziness, bronchitis, headache, etc. Instead, I would suggest staying hydrated, taking warm showers, and using warm compresses. I know what you're going through- I hope you feel better soon!
