What Should I Do About The Intense Pain In The Back Of My Foot?
I’ve had a really bad pain in the back of my foot that’s been going on and off for the past 2 years. It usually gets worse during the football season because of the practices, and goes away a few weeks after the basketball season. My dad says when he was younger he would get the same thing every basketball season, and he said that the bone is probably bruised. I’ve been taking ibuprofen and icing it often, but neither of them really help. What do you think is wrong with it, and what should I do to help the pain?

you may as well see a doctor, you have nothing to lose by doing that but you may find what is wrong.

I would get an xr-ay. I don’t think a bruised bone would cause that much pain. I would predict that you probably have a hair line fracture, heel spur, or maybe a problem with your joints. It might also be a bone issue.

As much as possible, refrain from rigorous exercises that strain your foot, and see a doctor or chiropractor immediately. We don’t want it to get any more worse.

It may also be plantar fasciitis about which you can learn more here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantar_fas…
